This series is presented in a unified square format of 1530 × 1530, drawn from a very personal scale—my height is 153 cm. The frame thus becomes a way of looking outward from myself, as if standing still while the world passes by.

I do not attempt to construct a complete world. I simply watch things happen and leave them on the canvas. As for what meanings they may take on later, I do not hold much certainty. As the poet Fernando Pessoa once wrote, “I looked at things, and nothing more.
